Tätä talvea meillä Kuivasmäessä on rytmittänyt paitsi valtava määrä lunta ja pakkasta, myös kaksi folkkipentuetta peräjälkeen. Nyt kuitenkin on tullut aika saatella nuorempikin pentue omiin koteihinsa ja talo hiljenee taas hetkeksi. No, koirat ja eläimet ylipäätään eivät ihan heti lopu tältä tontilta!
Olen ollut tosi tyytyväinen tähän ”Cup” -pentueeseen, ja ilokseni kaikki kolme nähdään tulevaisuudessa näyttelyissä! Molemmat nartut jäävät sijoitukseen ja omaan tiimiin siis jatkossakin – tervetuloa Glam porukkaan uudet ihanat ihmiset! Jaettu ilo on moninkertainen ilo, ja yhteistyökoiran ympärillä yhteiset jaetut onnistumisen ja ilon hetket – joskus surutkin – ovat erityisen merkityksellisiä. On mukavaa tehdä tätä hommaa ja harrastaa yhdessä!
En olisi minä, jos pää ei jo vilisisi täynnä uusia suunnitelmia ensi talveen: lisää tietoa pentu-sivulla loppuvuoden äitiehdokkaista. Pidän tästä rytmistä: talvet ollaan kotona pentuihin keskittyen, kesällä harrastetaan aktiivisesti koirien kanssa, kierretään näyttelyitä, tehdään kaikkia muita kesäjuttuja ja kerätään energiaa talveen: sitten jaksaa taas kolata lunta, kantaa polttopuita ja myös istua pentulaatikon äärellä kahvittelemassa seuraavien Glam-sukupolvien kanssa! ❤
Now when we are starting the Easter weekend here at home and the Sun has shone so bright all day, I think we can safely say that the long Winter is almost over. It was about lots of snow, lots of work heating the house, but also lots of cuddles and enjoyment with two litters we had. I still have two bitch puppies here at home who bring so much joy to me everyday, just love watching them play in the kitchen. They will both stay as part of our show team and will both be co-owned by me – they are moving to their lovely talented, motivated co-owners next weekend. I am happy that also the male pup in the litter will be shown, he lives in a lovely family already owning and showing Norfolks before. I am a lucky breeder.
As said many times before, I am breeder by heart and I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t have head full of puppy plans for next Winter already – we have some litters planned towards the end of the year! But before that we will enjoy Summer with lots of showing, lots of Summer activities and batteries reloaded for the new Winter ahead!

Tämän kiirastorstain ohjelmana oli rotujärjestö Suomen Norwichin ja Norfolkin Terriereiden järjestämä sydämen laaja ultraäänitutkimus koirille, jotka ovat jälkeläistensä kautta merkittäviä Suomen norfolk-kannassa. Kantanarttuni Kylie – näiden pentujen isoäiti – Belleville Deja Vu oli yksi kutsutuista, ja ilokseni 7,5-vuotiaan mummun sydän oli täysin terve, tutkimuksen tehnyt eläinlääkärikin ihasteli virtauksia ja löydöksiä sanoin ”kaikki aivan super!”. Näillä fiiliksillä on mukava aloittaa pääsiäisen vietto!
Today I drove to Pirkkala with Belleville Deja Vu – my foundation bitch and grandmother to this litter too. The breed club in Finland – Norwich and Norfolk Terrier Club – arranged an invitation doppler-ultra sound check for those dogs who are important in the Finnish population through their offspring – I think it was a great idea from the club to put effort examining those dog who themselves or their offspring have lots of puppies or are widely used – money well spent to the breed. I am so happy to report, that good old ”Kylie” has perfectly healthy heart at 7,5 years old. As the vet said ”Everything just super!” So with these happy news we are ready to start Easter Holidays – Happy Easter everyone!
